Catherine Bell, Director, Bell Training Group
Catherine Bell is the Director of Bell Training Group providing consulting, coaching and training for organisations around Australia and the world.
Catherine brings her expertise in HR and leadership to businesses in all sectors, working with large and small clients from government and corporate giants through to everyday small businesses who want to harness the unique talents of their people. Her work focuses on building leadership strength and staff capability, drawing upon 21 years of experience helping all kinds of people to shine at work – and enjoy life more.
Catherine grew up in Geelong and has spent a large part of her career in hospitality, working in senior roles at local favourites the Ozone Hotel and Vue Grand in Queenscliff (as well as Tony’s Pizza and Scottish Chief’s Pub!) before taking off for an overseas working holiday in her 20’s. She spent nearly 4 years working as a senior trainer in Japan’s enormous English Schools industry overseeing 750 staff and 52 schools, before coming home to HR and Training Management roles with Hilton, Sofitel and Accor Hotels for Melbourne and the Asia-Pacific.
In 2010, she said goodbye to the corporate world and started Bell Training Group, following her dream of raising the standard of professional workplace training and coaching around Australia. She holds formal qualifications in Catering & Hotel Management, Workplace Training, Positive Psychology, Coaching and Mental Health First Aid, and international certifications as an HR and Coaching professional.
Catherine is now pursuing postgraduate studies with Melbourne University and making the most of beach life at home in Ocean Grove, enjoying all that Geelong and the beautiful Great Ocean Road have to offer.
