 Skills Based Industry Director

Do you understand the opportunities and challenges facing tourism and the broader visitor economy across the Great Ocean Road region? Do you have the time, passion and skills to be a Board Director.

Great Ocean Road Regional Tourism (GORRT) is seeking skills based Directors to join its Board of Directors. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of one of Victoria’s premier tourism regions. We are looking for candidates who work in, or own a visitor economy business in the region and are ready to bring their strategic insight, sound governance and genuine leadership to the Board helping ensure GORRT’s continued growth and success.

About GORRT
GORRT is the Visitor Economy Partnership (VEP) for the Great Ocean Road region, covering the five local government areas of Surf Coast, Colac Otway, Corangamite, Moyne, and Warrnambool. The GORRT model brings together industry, community and state and local government to drive a collaborative approach to growing a more sustainable and vibrant visitor economy.

What we’re looking for
• A sound understanding of corporate governance principles & Director responsibilities
• Exceptional strategic thinking, commercial acumen and problem-solving ability
• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a skills-based Board
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A proven ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
• A genuine passion for promoting regional tourism and economic development.
