About Destination Action Plans
A DAP identifies challenges and opportunities facing a destination’s visitor economy. Each plan establishes achievable and affordable priorities that, if delivered, can foster industry collaboration and maximise the value of the visitor economy. In turn, these outcomes benefit the destination and the broader Great Ocean Road region.
Our involvement
Great Ocean Road Regional Tourism has a specific process that engages local stakeholders in creating a DAP. We help communities identify priorities at a local level, as well as larger strategic priorities that require advocacy over three to five years (and will be progressively reviewed and renewed).
All DAPs form an important part of the Strategic Master Plan for the Great Ocean Road Regional Visitor Economy 2015-2025 which requires that each plan is updated in 2020.
